| Professional examination of a roof is vital for diagnosing
problems and creating a remedy.

Be it a leak in your roof, clogged gutters, or poor drainage, a close look
at it by a professionally-trained roofing inspector is necessary. Even if
you feel as though your roof is functioning perfectly, you should still
have your roof inspected periodically, just to make sure it stays in tiptop
shape.

| Outside roof inspection
There’s more to it than missing shingles.

While it’s true that doing an outdoor roofing inspection is still easier (as
long as you have a good vantage point) than doing one indoors,
underneath the roof, it’s likely that an untrained eye will miss some
issues that only a professional roofing inspector can notice.
Issues like curled or split shingles, loose nails, significantly dark patches,
sagging in the center of the roof, corroded metal (especially near
chimneys), separation in flashing, depressions near vent pipes, etc these
are all things that Chapo Roofing might notice, upon inspecting your roof.
As you can see, missing shingles are only the tip of the iceberg.

|Inside Roof Inspection
Safer than outdoors, but often more difficult.
In an indoor roofing inspection, the roofing inspector will be looking up
at the bottom of the roof, from the inside of your home; instead of down at it, from on top. Spotting issues from the inside can be deceiving. For instance, roofing inspectors will look for dark spots, but finding out whether or not they are an old or new problem, may be a challenge. Usually though, spots that represent problems that have already been dealt with, will be dry and hard to the touch. On the other hand, new issues will be soft and wet. Other things we will look for upon inspecting your roof from the inside, are sagging decking between rafters, outside light seen through the roof, etc. |
| Evaluation
Where plan of action , and recommendations are proposed.
After we’ve thoroughly inspected your roofing from the inside and out,
Chapo Roofing will compose a report explaining exactly what’s wrong with your roof, and how we propose to fix it. If we think you’ll need a completely new roof, we’ll go about telling you exactly why, and how we’ll go about putting a new one on. |
